I have been tutoring for 17 years. I am very passionate about my tutoring work and in assisting students to improve and to enjoy their schoolwork. I have a degree in Health Science and a Post Graduate qualification in Special Education. I aim to provide a stress free and fun learning environment, taking into account a student's unique and individual needs. Some of my special needs students have been with me for over 5 years. I home-schooled my daughter throughout her high school years as she had chronic health issues, and she was able to achieve her Yr 10 leaving certificate and is now successfully employed.

My fees are $35/hr for Primary and High School Age, for a 1hr lesson.

I have experience in tutoring students from Yr1 to Yr12

  • I completed a Certificate in Nursing in November, 1980 which equated to 3yrs of University Credits when I applied to convert my Certificate into a Health Science Degree. I completed a 4th year of University study which was composed of 8 topics. This enabled me to graduate with a Bachelors Degree. The broad array of Health Science topics enabled me to focus in on the areas of health and learning needs for children and adolescents. I researched the health and learning needs of children and adolescents with : chronic illness; conditions such as ADHD; at risk minority groups, including aboriginal peoples and those of low socio-economic status, and, refugees. I also did a major project on how proper nutrition impacts on learning ability.
