As a research initiative of Macquarie University, MultiLit's publications, training and literacy centre are continually informed by an ongoing body of scientific research and development. The research team is led by Professor Kevin Wheldall, who on Australia Day 2011 was awarded the Member of the Order of Australia (AM) for services to children's literacy.
MultiLit has provided assistance to thousands of low-progress readers through a variety of settings, including schools, our own literacy centre and community based literacy projects across Australia, New Zealand and Asia.
